not fourth, although that would be a dream come true. I reckon 6th. But we'll see what happens at the end of the window aye?

perhaps we could beat arsenal to fourth as there team doesnt seem to be as strong as it use to be.

perhaps it may happen.. who knows for sure. We'll see who we get this summer.

I'd be very happy to finish above Everton and Villa, the amount of crap there fans give City is untrue.

I don't think top 4 this season, then again, alot rests on who we bring in and who we let go.. Who knows, we could suprise a few this season!

I said that with 2 more very good signings we'd give it a go, I think we'll miss out by about 6 points in the end though..

If he does stay which I hope then I would put him on for possibly SWP and put ire land on the right.. donno difficult choice.

If Arsenal keep slideing at the same rate and we have a amazing season then it's possible that we will break it but we will see.
I think de Jong will stay for another year to see if he settles down better.

I think you will find that the chances of finishing 4th doesnt depend on who we get in, but who we dont get rid of. We know that the players reported to coming to City this summer will give us a superb first 11, but the league (and cups) nowadays is a squad effort, and we need to keep hold of the majority of our current squad to act as squad players and back ups (v good back ups). We dont want to be selling Dunne, Johnson, Petrov, Bojinov, Bellamy, good hard working professionals. There will be cases to sell the fringe fringe players.

Good point Graceyboy... I agree with pretty much all of that. Although it works the other way too, we need to get rid of alot of our squad players i.e Vassell, Benjani, Haman etc or we might find due to injuries over the course of the season, we may have to stick someone like Vassell on Really don't want to see this..

We need to improve the quality of the squad, not just the first team.

Another factor to take into account is who Arsenal buy/ loose.

If we steal Toure off them and they don't really strengthen there squad ( defensive mid, Centre back and Striker) then I think we may have a good shot.

Don't forget though dude, Arsenal had a lot of last season missing key players at different times.

Your right though, alot will depend on how Arsenal get on in the market.

No, Not yet even if we get all the players we have been linked with, it will take a fair bit of time for them all to jell and know how each other play, it might only take 6 months but buy that time we will be a few to many points behind 4 place, and lets face it the top 4 dont drop that many points. Would like to think we can do something in one of the cup comps

We'd also have to gell as a team, you can't expect RSC, Tevez & Eto'o to all play together like a team. (If we get them).

Good thing is, we have a full pre-season with these players to bed in and work together unlike the last couple of seasons.

I can't wait to see the starting line-up and bench for the Blackburn game!!
