Confederations Cup

Post by Clarkey311 on Mon Jun 15, 2009 5:56 am

Anyone watching this?

If so you are you supporting?

DAY 1

Day 1 saw Iraq and the host South Africa draw a boring game which only really came alive in the last 10 mins.

The second game saw Spain destroy NZ with Torres Hat-trick, Fabregas and Villa rounding up the thumping.

Day 2

Today sees

Confederations Cup: Brazil v Egypt
1450 BST, BBC Red Button/online

Confederations Cup: USA v Italy
1900 BST, BBC Three/online

Yeah I know, Sadly they will be a feature through-out. Hopefully they will disappear before the world cup next year.

Pretty shocking defending from Egypt so far from set pieces.

What a comeback! 2 goalsl by Egypt in 2 mins!

Well after a stunning first game of the day where Brazil pipped Egypt to the win after a last min pen the USA are about to face the world cup Holders Italy.

Regarding Game 1 Elano set-pieces were brilliant picking up 2 assists in the process. very spirited fight by Egypt with 2 goals in 56 seconds to tie the game and they looked like they would steal the points until they self destructed and gave away a pen in the last min of normal time.

Highlights are here
